Since the show began, fans have been following various figures featured on the show, even years after they appeared on the show.

Amber Rachdi appeared on the TLC show during the third season. Originally from Troutdale, Oregon, she weighed around 657 pounds during her start on the show. Over the years, she has lost over 400 pounds since her time on the show.

Explaining how she handles the loose skin on her arms, Amber shared, “I just wear a lot of sleeves to be honest… You just put it in your sleeves.” She also shared it was “obnoxious” when having to “shut an oven door.”
Amber also teased, “Snip me up like a sewing pattern.” Wanting to have a good humor about the situation, she continued to make “Batman” jokes as she struck a few poses.

Amber then addressed if she wanted skin surgery. She admitted she did, but noted, “It’s just super expensive.”
“I’ve gotten quotes from a few different surgeons over the years but nothing has been anything shy of about a hundred and twenty thousand for a full course of treatment. So, now, I live, laugh, [and] jiggle.”
Rachdi also answered a few fan questions in the comments. When asked if her excess skin could be used for those needing skin grafts, like burn victims, she shared. “The portions of my skin that have fibrosis and broken lymph vessels might be usable for somebody who needs a tissue repair internally… Otherwise, it’s too compromised to serve as normal skin,” noting skin on her upper arms could be viable. Ultimately, she admitted, “That would be the ultimate dream!”
