In a critical moment of the game, which would determine the last castaway to take part in the jury, Probst got ahead of himself and revealed the loser of the fire-making challenge.
Aubry Bracco won the last immunity of the season and secured a spot in the Final 3, and saved Joe Hunter in the process by sending Rizo Velovic and Jonathan Young to the fire-making challenge.
As the challenge was about to play out on air, Probst brought out Rizo to talk about his fire-making skills, and as he was about to shoot to a commercial, he revealed he was the final member of the jury.
Things on the set were seemingly off as no one clapped or cheered, prompting Probst to ask, “What just happened?”
The jury members replied, “Fire hasn’t happened yet,” leaving Probst confused about the whole situation, and the live studio audience gasping.
After the break, Probst acknowledged the blunder and played it off as a “Survivor twist” and the “last twist of the season.
