He looks much lighter and healthy after dropping 150 pounds.

Hence, viewers have been waiting for his skin removal surgery. Recently, Chris opened up about the real reasons behind the delay in his surgery. In Season 4 episode 3, he asked his wife, Brittany, to measure his waist. He wanted to know how much he would weigh if he didn’t have the excess skin. Surprisingly, the TLC star’s waist turned out to be 46’’ around all skin, which used to be 66.

Chris continued talking about the challenges of having the extra skin. He said, “You got all this loose blubber, or skin, running around.” Moreover, The 1000 Lb Sisters star explained how he had to worry about sweat and body odor. Chris jokingly gave an example of a flying squirrel. Brittany laughed and insisted that her husband wasn’t a flying squirrel.

He also talked about how much he wanted to remove the excess skin. Unfortunately, his surgeon, Dr. Eric Smith, wasn’t on board with the plan and felt he needed a plastic surgeon to ensure his weight had stabilized. Further, he wanted Chris to lose an additional 50 pounds before considering surgery.
