Welcome To Plathville: Kim Is Living On A Boat With The Young Kids! Considers It Less Expensive

Since their divorce, Welcome To Plathville fans are getting to see a brand new side of Kim and Barry Plath. Both of them are trying to figure out who they are. In a promo from ET, the matriarch revealed she did something adventurous. Kim ended up buying a boat to live in with her three minor daughters, Cassia, Amber, and Mercy.

As per the couple’s divorce, Kim wanted custody of her minor kids, with Barry paying child support. Well, that’s exactly what happened. All four of them are now living on a 33-foot Chris-Craft boat. Kim happily mentioned how she grew up on a “sailboat”, so she bought one herself. It was quite an adjustment for her three daughters.

Kim revealed the living situation where she could convert the couches to beds for sleeping purposes and have a tiny bathroom. But they were using it as a place to store their makeup and would take baths at the shower stalls in the marina as they were more spacious. Kim wanted the girls to see the boat, like gaining a trailer bike and a river and seeing all the natural beauty around them.

At the same time, Kim admitted that buying a boat was like a “less expensive way” of owning a “waterfront property.” The Welcome To Plathville star added that she worked quite hard to make the place as “liveable” as possible for the young girls. Cassia and Amber had their inhibitions at first about how this new arrangement would work, but they seemed to have adapted to it pretty well.

Welcome To Plathville: Did Kim Buy A Boat After Breaking Up With BF Ken?

Kim had a rough patch with most of the family members after splitting with Barry. The latter thought they could sort out their issues, but it was his wife who wanted a divorce. Most adult kids from Welcome To Plathville were against the matriarch for breaking the family apart. Then, things got much worse when Kim introduced her boyfriend, Ken Palmer, in the previous season.

Documents confirmed that Kim had relocated from Georgia to Florida to live with her love interest. In fact, all her documents had the Florida address with a house belonging to Ken Palmer. So, fans assumed they had moved in together. Well, as Kim bought a boat, fans are assuming she did so after falling out and breaking up with her boyfriend.
