NEED TO KNOW

  • Survivor season 50 premiered on Feb. 25
  • The historic season brings back 24 fan favorite players, including Mike White and Cirie Fields
  • The first contestant was eliminated during the three-hour premiere, while another was taken out due to an injury

The tribe has officially spoken for the first Survivor 50 eliminated players.

On Feb. 25, the long-running reality competition show officially returned with its landmark 50th season, bringing back 24 players from the past two decades of play. During the three-hour premiere, the contestants — including Mike White, Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lusth and more — duked it out in a series of physical challenges and new tests of social warfare, all while getting (re)acquainted with their Fijian home.

Speaking to PEOPLE in Fiji during the first days of filming back in June 2025, host Jeff Probst revealed that the casting process for the historic season was “heartbreaking” and left multiple fan favorites off the table, starting off with a list of 200 names.

“We did it one player at a time,” he said. “I was just looking through my season 50 notebook at the first stack of players, and it’s crazy how many people we started with — and we had a case for all of them … You just start putting people in the other pile going, ‘Oh my God, this is heartbreaking.’ Because I care.”

So, who was eliminated during last night’s Survivor season 50 episode? Here’s everything to know.

Warning: Survivor 50 spoilers ahead!

Who has been eliminated from Survivor 50?

Jenna Lewis-Dougherty

Survivor: Borneo (Season 1) and Survivor: All-Stars (Season 8)

Jenna Lewis-Dougherty — who made history as one of the show’s first-ever castaways on Survivor: Borneo — was the first official cast member to be eliminated Survivor season 50. After pushing hard for Fields, her Cila tribemates — especially Fields’ ally, Lusth — became spooked by her bloodthirstiness and unanimously voted her off.

However, she told PEOPLE in February 2026 that she wasn’t the first person to throw Fields’ name out.

“I will say, it was not me that said Cirie’s name first. Not me at all,” she said. “So I was chatting with Christian [Hubicki] day one, trying to bond and [said], ‘What do you think of the group?’ And in his Christian way, he said, ‘I’m going to go over and sit down to who I think is the biggest threat.’ He goes and sits next to Cirie while I talk to [Rick] Devens about Fortnite. And he comes back over, and … said: ‘She’s the biggest threat because if there’s a swap or there’s a merge, she’s lost to the wind.’ “

She continued, “Christian absolutely masterminded it.”

Survivor 48

However, Lewis-Dougherty wasn’t the only person taken out in the Survivor 50 premiere. During the first immunity challenge, Kyle Fraser — who won season 48 in 2025 — injured his ankle. Though he could walk on it, Dr. Joe Rowles and Probst came to the Vatu camp the next day, where Dr. Joe put Fraser through a series of extra tests. Ultimately, he determined that Fraser had likely ruptured his Achilles tendon, and should leave the game.

However, before Fraser was taken away on a boat, he asked his tribemates — including Colby Donaldson, Q Burdette, Genevieve Mushaluk and more — that one of them win the entire season.

Fraser told PEOPLE in February 2026 that he has no regrets about going to Fiji.

“I had such a good time playing,” he said. “Listen, this injury sucks. There’s no doubt about it. But I’ve learned so much about myself … it stinks and the payoff isn’t immediate, but I’m feeling the payoff as we speak. I get to say I’m a part of season 50. Who gets to say that?”

Survivor 49

In Survivor 50‘s second episode, Cila lost the immunity challenge once again. Although Lusth and season 48’s Joe Hunter were on the table as potential boots, ultimately, Fields successfully swung the vote away from her ally, Lusth, and onto the season 49 winner, Savannah Louie, who was voted out unanimously.

Also notable? Hubicki created a pretty memorable diversion at tribal council — comedically falling over as the other contestants went to grab their torches — so Rick Devens could hide a fake idol for future use.
