No parent should have to bury their child.Ā SurvivorĀ alums Brad and Monica Culpepper are going through something every parent fears. Their son died unexpectedly at just 28. He was recently engaged to the love of his life. Keep reading for more details about the heartbreaking situation.

SurvivorĀ Stars Brad & Monica Culpepper’s Son Dead At 28

Brad and Monica Culpepper were already married when they joined Season 27 ofĀ Survivor.Ā She came in second place that season after previously competing on Season 24. He returned for Season 34. Neither is competing onĀ Season 50, which is currently airing on CBS.

The couple shares three children – Rex, Judge, and Honor. Multiple outlets reported that Rex Culpepper has died. The former college football player reportedly passed away after a dirt bike accident in Florida. He was previously diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2018.

Syracuse Football Pays Tribute

Rex Culpepper played on the Syracuse Orange’s football team from 2017 until 2020. He played 30 games during that time. His father, Brad Culpepper, is a former NFL defensive tackle. He played for nine seasons, many with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He retired in 2000. His son followed in his footsteps in college.

The Syracuse OrangeĀ released a statementĀ confirming the death of Rex Culpepper. ā€œOur Orange family mourns the loss of Rex Culpepper, who passed away this weekend at the age of 28. Rex lived his life with endless passion, having overcome cancer at the age of 20 while playing for the Orange,ā€ the college wrote.

The post continued, ā€œAppearing in 30 games, Rex played football as fierce as he lived life. 

Our hearts are with the Culpepper family & all those who loved him.ā€

Sadly, Rex CulpepperĀ leaves behindĀ more than just his parents and siblings. He just got engaged weeks before his death.

Rex Culpepper was in a relationship with Savanna Morgan for six years before his death. TheĀ couple got engagedĀ three weeks ago in North Carolina. He posted intimate photos of the engagement on social media. He popped the question during aĀ horseback riding adventureĀ with only their dog present.

They never made it down the aisle. His heartbroken fianceĀ took to social mediaĀ to share her grief over the massive loss. ā€œNo one expects to meet the love of your life and lose them in only 6 short years after meeting,ā€ she began a lengthy post. She added, ā€œRex didnt always believe in soulmates but towards the end he told me that he didnt realize what having a soulmate felt like until we felt like extensions of each other.ā€

Rex Culpepper’s fiance wrote that they lived every day together like it was their last. Sadly, that day came much earlier than they thought. Our condolences to Rex Culpepper’s loved ones during this difficult time.
