While Coyote Pass may have finally sold earlier this month, Kody, Janelle and Meri Brown are still at odds over the property on the current season of Sister Wives.

During an all-new episode on Sunday, April 27, Kody opened up about Meri and Janelle’s accusations that he was intentionally trying to “rip off” his ex-wives’ in the sale of their Arizona property.

“I want to sell Coyote Pass, but I don’t think Robyn’s in the space where she wants to sell it,” the father of 18 said of the accusations that he and his current wife Robyn were holding up the sale. “I’m not rushing Robyn for the sake of Meri and Janelle.”

Christine, Kody’s other ex-wife from their former plural marriage, then adds in an interview: “I think Janelle and Meri need to be smart, and I hope that they split up 14 acres four ways… but I know Kody. Financial stuff with him sucks.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Kody addresses Meri directly, saying that he’s “not trying to cause any problems” and “not trying to rip you off.”

“No matter what Janelle says about me ripping you off,” he continues. “That’s all imagined in Janelle’s head because Janelle feels like, ‘Oh, I got divorced so I deserve something.'”

While all of the family members contributed to paying for the Arizona land, Janelle explained in a December episode of Sister Wives that she wasn’t convinced Kody would divide the property evenly when it came time to finally sell.

“We’re finally paying off this dang property in Flagstaff, but now there’s this big fight about how do we divide it? I don’t know what to expect from Kody,” she said at the time. “He’s been kind of an a— about the property, so he might be an a— about it as we move forward. Who knows?”

Her lack of trust in Kody, especially after his previous secrecy surrounding the status of the property, eventually led her to hire a lawyer, she said in a January episode.

Kody admitted in another December episode that he considered “screwing over” Janelle when it came to the division of property, but he claimed Robyn wouldn’t let him.

“She doesn’t trust me because she would screw me if she could. That’s what I believe. And I’ll be honest, I’ve thought about screwing her,” he said of Janelle. “Okay, so I’m being honest. But I won’t. My wife with a conscience won’t let me.”

The sale of Coyote Pass is still an ongoing issue in the current season of the TLC series, however off-screen, the stars officially sold their land for $1.5 million earlier in April, according to Coconino County property records obtained by PEOPLE.

Meri, Janelle and Christine were all previously in a plural marriage with Kody and Robyn.

Christine, his third wife, was the first to leave in November 2021. A year later in December 2022, it was revealed that Kody had separated from his second wife, Janelle. His union with first wife Meriwas over by January 2023.
