Welcome to Plathville star Ethan Plath was once accused of cheating on Olivia Plath, which he denied, and his brother Micah Plath’s being called out by his now-ex Veronica Peters, who alleges he was unfaithful.

This scandal could get messy – Micah has a clean image but Veronica’s throwing mud that could potentially stick to him forever, changing the way the public sees him. A lot has happened lately which shows the dark side of the family. The truth is that there’s real dysfunction among Plath family members.

What Cheating Accusation Means For Micah Plath

In the recent episode, Veronica got very real about her partner and how he allegedly hurt her, saying that Micah cheated:

“several times.”

This is somewhat shocking, as he seemed so smitten with his partner. Veronica, who initially hid her face on the show. She seemed like an ideal match for the typically level-headed Welcome to Plathville star, Micah Plath.

As a seasoned real estate professional with a great education, the Boca Raton-based woman was a foil to Kim, Micah’s mother, who home-schooled the kids.

So, he was probably very impressed by Veronica’s background. However, a person’s image, intelligence, pedigree… those things aren’t enough. There’s one thing that a person needs to make things work with a partner, and that’s a sense of reverence for their love interest.

When someone cheats, they fall off their pedestal, and they show their partner that they weren’t special enough. It’s easy to fall into traps in life, such as cheating, but being repeatedly unfaithful is a sign that something’s missing in a relationship.

If Micah cheated, he simply wasn’t the right person for Veronica. Another man might be very different. Micah made waves as a model, but gave up that successful career to be with his partner. However, his role as “house husband” (and they never legally married) seemed to grate on him after a while.

Our Take On Veronica’s Allegations

Veronica‘s feelings are valid. Women often have a very reliable sixth sense about these things – men, and the non-binary, surely do too. In her Instagram post, as shown above, she’s showing strength. She’s leaning into her career. Her problems with Micah aren’t all she is – not at all.

People can feel, to borrow Star Wars parlance, disturbances in the force. Yes, most people can feel a shift in energy as a partner pulls away, even if they are still playacting the role of the ideal lover.

As painful as it is to accept that a partner isn’t wholly in love, it’s something that has to be done. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing, but there’s always a point where it’s just not smart anymore.

This kind of acceptance doesn’t have to be a bad thing. It can be a portal to a better life. Instead of crying over a person who doesn’t care the way that they should, she can process her pain and then move on.

She can find a person who lives up to her ideals, or just go it alone. Life’s too short and precious to spend it in misery because a love interest can’t follow simple rules in a relationship.

So, Veronica has had a lot to deal with, including her clashes with the Plaths, including Moriah Plath and Kim. She’s been judged by Micah because she couldn’t get along with people that no one can get along with. For Veronica, a clean break from Welcome to Plathville‘s high-drama cast members seems like a good idea.
