David Woolley Breaks Silence About Late Wifeās Suicide
Sister WivesĀ fans knew that David Woolley was a widower with many children and grandchildren. It had been briefly addressed that his first wife had taken her own life. Yet, not much was said about it, and he seemed grateful to have found Christine Brown Woolley. SheĀ had been in a loveless marriageĀ to Kody Brown for almost three decades, so she immediately knew David was the one. He was warm, kind, handsome, family-oriented; everything she had wanted and more. Unfortunately, in March 2024, Garrison Brown took his own life. Although he was Kody and Janelle Brownās son, Christine had raised him along with the other children.
During the Sunday, May 11th episode, the cast wasĀ talking about the aftermath of his passing. Christine was trying to hold it together while speaking with her husband. However, David soon shared his experience having losing his wife to suicide over a decade ago:
āI blame myself.ā
He went on to add that the hardest part of it was telling his children that their mother was never coming home after long battling depression. David admitted that he looked to his sister for what to do and how to go about sharing that she had passed:
āWhat do I do? Sheās like, āYou need to tell them.ā And I told them. It was the hardest thing, crying, realizing that she wasnāt coming back.ā
This broke down the father of eight, and he added that he felt as if he had let his children down. He could notĀ help but break down in this specialĀ Sister WivesĀ episode where Garrison was brought āhomeā to Wyoming. Christine echoed what an amazing person Davidās late wife was, as she was aware of the home movies they had to reflect on.
The Love Of Garrison
Everyone talked about how Garrison Brown was a bright light with an incredible sense of humor. David and Christine Brown Woolley noted how happy theyĀ were that he was at their wedding. That way, theĀ Sister WivesĀ stars had even more photos of him. David admitted that he did not know Garrison well, which is why he was interested in learning more about him. At the same time, seeing David open up in the way that he did was beautiful for viewers to see:
